LBGAM Beats KGAM To Punch, TPC In Turmoil

NGAWire® | 31Jul07

Lack of information regarding the 2007 TPC may have cost the NGA valued player entries.

Angered by the lack of KGAM information, the LBGAM has scheduled its own tournament for the same time period as the TPC. Many big name players have jumped ship. They include Kurt Goetzke, Coree Raden, Jeff Longeway and Dan McKay.

The schedule of play for the LBGAM event (tournament name is under discussion) has been released.

Rd 1, Thur 9/20, 9:00a, St Clair Parkway GC
Rd 2, Fri 9/21, 8:00a, Firerock GC
Rd 3, Fri 9/21, 1:00p, Cardoc Sands GC
Rd 4, Sat 9/22, 10:00a, Sawmill Creek GC
Rd 5, Sun 9/23, 9:00a, Sarnia G&CC

Included in the LBGAM entry is free tournament housing at the Lawler Family Retreat Compound in Sarnia, Ontario.

“The KGAM has always been a shoddy organization” states LBGAM President Steve Lawler. “I feel bad that the NGA was hoodwinked by Kurncz and company once again, but you can only take a horse to water so many times. Maybe the HGA and WMGA can revitalize the TPC in 2008?”

Of the five players committed to participate in the TPC, refund requests have been made by all except Mark D’Antionio.
